Actually, todays diesel costs less as refiners are maxed out storing diesel as the winter was warm and they are "unloading: as fast as they can. The Wall Street speculators are loosing a few cents a gallon so that makes me happy.
On any given day, diesel being a lower distillate, its' cost of refining is a good deal less than gasoline, a higher distillate.
