Islam today is the fastest growing religion in the world!!!! What is more interesting; is the fact that more individuals converted after the Sept.11 attacks. I strongly believe the world was misleading, regarding the religion itself and its teachings. Depicting the religion as extremist, violent, hateful, no rights for women……etc. Islam means peace and love to oneself, while the religion itself brings inner peace in ones heart and mind. The first religion to teach equality and forbids racism and slavery, going back more then 1400 years ago!!! With that said, the first individual to make the call to prayer (Adhan) was Bilal, a dark black African individual who was a slave during the time of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), but Islam saved him from the torment and brutality of being a slave, which then Bilal became one of the first black individuals to convert to Islam at the time and also its defender during times of war; being in the front lines. Islam greatly honors and holds a woman in great stature in the views of Allah, the almighty; in fact greater in importance then the man!!!!
