What ever happened to the tabernacle that was used by the children of Israel in the wilderness? It seems the old Mosaic tabernacle ceased to be used once Solomon built the Temple. Whether anything specific was done with the tabernacle and its furnishings is not known. At least to my knowledge.

Interesting you should ask. My son's Haftarah Portion for his Bar Mitzvah was about the new Arc that was transferred from the Old Arc from the Wilderness...I'll have to check but I believe it is from Shmuel ....

Didn't the "furniture" comprise the ritual objects of the permanent ediface?
