Here are some highlights: Crude oil inventories decreased by 5.3 million barrels to a total of 340.7 million barrels. This kind of news should be lowering prices not raising them!! But of course GREED rules the world and the market these days, there's no such thing as supply & demand anymore and there hasn't been in quite some time.

With the INCREASE in gasoline supplies (also higher than last year at this time) the prices go up and Up and UP. Well, since supply and demand have no more meaning, it must be simple GREED AND SPECULATION. Well, just remember, I cannot but presents for Christmas with money I spent on gasoline. Sorry Mr. O' Bummer--unemployment will just have to increase more.

It's just information - and the information actually would suggest downward pressure on gas prices. However, rising crude prices due to increased global demand are also a large part of the equation, irrespective of US inventories. Despite small decreases in week-over-week inventories, inventory levels continue to be higher than same period last year, and compared to historic levels.
