Just curious, I noticed in the listing of Prize Giveaway Contest Winners that sometimes the Giveaway numbers are out of sync with the actual week (dates) the contest covered. Is this because a winner took longer to be verified or something and the winner of the next week was verified before the previous weeks winner?

For example, during the week of May 16, 2011 - May 22, 2011 the winner was BigRFairfield and it says he is the winner of Giveaway #147. But the following week, May 23, 2011 - May 29, 2011, darthtigg is the winner of Giveaway #146. Should not BigRFairfield been the winner of #146 and darthtigg the winner of #147? Or is it because you could verify darthtigg earlier than BigRFairfield, darthtigg gets the earlier giveaway number?

I guess the question boils down to does the giveaway numbers proceed chronologically or in order of when the winner was finally verified? Or is your numbering just goofed up on the Winners listing?

I understand it takes time to verify winners.

But what you are saying is the numbering of the giveaways is tied to the timing of the verification and not the chronological week that the drawing was held.

We have to wait to verify the winners before we can announce them.

The drawings are made on time, but the winners' verifications vary as to when they reply.
